Thanks for asking! BOY DO I HAVE SOME FEELINGS ABOUT HOW TO DECORATE WITH BALLOONS.
1. The more the merrier. What keeps it from looking junky is having a ton of balloons: see this recent post about the ALT Summit, this one from godknowswhere, and this sweet at home celebration which is a little too sparse for my liking for a BIG party (but is perfect for a smaller/surprise/brunch party.)
2. One color helps make it look modern vs. childish. See the ALT party, Kate Spade opening party, and this cool launch to celebrate Yves Klein (in signature IKB naturally.) The ombre balloons from littlegreennotebook’s party works even though there aren’t a ton of balloons because the each color is clustered (together as opposed to the ceiling party above.)
3. Attitude/swag. No one is going to mock you for having balloons if you represent them well. Also, balloons are awesome so if people DO make fun of you, they are terrible people and shouldn’t be at your party.
hope this helped! xoxoxox
